Watch Me Grow...Part 2

I think that I left off just as month #5 was ending.

Month 6 -
Here's Natalie getting ready for her first taste of baby food, green beans were and still are quite a hit with her.

Yummy stuff!
Here's the sleeping beauty, I'm not sure where we were or what we were doing I just knew there wouldn't be many more days of seeing this precious one sleeping so peacefully while Mommy snaps pictures.

Natalie with her cousins Kody (on the left) and Logan (right). She gets so excited when she sees her cousins.

Believe it or not this was my dress when I was a baby, it's so faded but I couldn't resist. I'll have to see if I can come up with a picture of me in it to put with this.
Natalie at Tabitha Hawkins baby shower, taking a ride on the zebra.
How could you not love this face?

At Natalie's 6 month appointment on 2/14/08 she weighed 16 lbs. 13 oz. and was 25 3/4 inches tall.

Month 7 -
If you look closely Natalie has a little clip in her hair, I was so excited that she could finally look like a little girl. After wearing it for an hour I freaked out and convinced myself that she would pull it out and eat it so I took it out.
Look at my little pumpkin pie, I just love her to pieces. She was really asleep here, I guess that cereal really hit bottom. As Ted would say "maagies vol oogies toe" which means stomachs are full your eyes are closing.
Little Natalie and her cousin Logan (or Logant as she would say) with Natalie's new hats on.
On January 30, 2008 we celebrated Natalie's 1/2 birthday, well really we put her in her highchair and made crazy faces at her trying to get her to smile for the camera, as you can see it didn't really work.
Month 8 -
This is Natalie and her cousin Bo.
Just like her jammies say, she's Mommy's little dreamer. Here is Natalie testing our her big girl car seat, we weren't quite ready for the move yet but it was time, those carriers weigh a ton :) Rub a dub dub, Natalie's in the tub.
This was one of the first times we put Natalie in her exesaucer, she loved to be in there and this is the place we got her first giggles out of her. What a diva. The Easter Bunny brought these sunglasses for Natalie. Natalie's first Easter. Natalie's aunt Laura got this coat for her for Christmas, how adorable is she?!
Month 9 -

Can you see the snaggle tooth, seriously how horrible to have this one huge top front tooth sticking down. She's still pretty adorable to me. This was at one of Natalie's cousins baseball games.

At Natalie's 9 month appointment in April she weighed 19 lbs. 1 oz. and was 27 1/2 inches tall.

Month 10 - May 2008

I love this picture, I remember that day so vividly, it was one of the first really warm days of the year and the grass was so green and Natalie looks so precious in her blue dress. This was taken in our backyard.

There she is again, my little pumkin pie. When she's older I'm sure she'll just love that I called her that. This duckie bath tub was hystarical, she wasn't a big fan for quite some time but she warmed up to it. Of course when she finally decided she was ok with the duckie it ended up getting a hole in it.
Natalie in her new swing, the chesnut tree out back was a perfect place for it. Natalie's in her walker, I have to admit I wasn't impressed when Natalie's Aunt Amber bought her a walker. Natalie LOVED this thing, she flew through our house for hours in it.
Month 11 -

What a sweet baby girl, she's our little blue eye cutie pie.

Natalie and her silly face. She was playing in her little car outside of the shed one summer evening. Natalie "crawling" in the grass. She was never bothered by the grass and really liked playing in it. During this summer Natalie and Logan spent many hours playing in the little one ring pool. She loved it she would crawl in and out over and over again. Here are those eyes again, how could you ever tell her no?!Natalie and Kody in the tub being silly.
Teething, not very much fun. I found this little mesh bag thing that Natalie spent many hours chewing on. I would fill it up with pieces of frozen fruit and she would just chew on it to help sooth her aching teeth.
Month 12 - where did our baby go?
This picture was taken at Salt Fork. We took Natalie on her first little vacation, along with Gerbers. We had such a fun time and Natalie just loves playing with Jackson. Natalie had a very hectic birthday week...

her first haircut on 7/27/08. Lee Ann came to our house to cut her hair, thankfully. I think that the haircut could have been quite traumatic if we would have taken her to the salon but instead we had a great experience and Natalie didn't mind one bit she was getting her hair cut.

Followed by having tubes put in her ears on 7/29/08. She did so well. I was a mess, really a big emotional mess. I cried and cried when I left her in the operating room. It was so cold and scary, I couldn't believe that I had to leave my baby girl there. The procedure took about 5 minutes, really 5 minutes. She was waking up by the time we got to the recovery room and she was fine, no tears, no fear, all that worry for nothing.

Later that day we let Natalie have her first taste of spaghetti. It was so messy but so adorable.

Natalie on her first birthday on 7/30/08. The first year has been unbelievable, I can't believe it's already over but I'm so excited to see what's to come. Happy Birthday to my pumpkin pie.

Natalie was 20 lbs. 12.4 oz. at her 12 month appointment, which wasn't until 8/15/08, she was 28 3/4 inches tall.

Watch Me Grow!

This was the last photo taken of Ted and I before we became Mommy and Daddy. We were at a family reunion and it was so hot...if you know me at all you'll know that me being nine months pregnant in July was quite challenging...but I was a trooper and loved every minute of it!

After much deliberation on her name, Natalie Marie was born on 7/30/08 at 1:09 pm weighing in at 8 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Delivery was incredible, I can't think of a better word to describe it. Ted was the world's best "coach" ever, the nurses all loved him and got a kick out of being able to hear him counting down the hall from our room...for three very long hours. A very special thank you to our wonderful nurse, Doris, and an amazing OBGYN, Dr. Canfield! Here's Miss Natalie after making her grand entrance into the world.

Scrapbooker I am not, although I wish I was. I haven't been good at keeping track of the specific dates and times that our precious baby girl hit the various milestones like I hoped and promised myslef that I would, but for at least the first 17 months I have been faithfully snapping pictures of our growing girl so to bring everyone up to speed on the amazing changes that we have loved watching Natalie experience here is a picture (or five or six) from each month over the past seventeen months.

This is the day that Natalie got to come home from the hospital, 8/1/07, weighing just 7 lbs. 12 1/2 oz. She dressed and ready to go...now if Mommy could just figure out the straps on the car seat.

This was our first outing 8/4/07, it was also Natalie's first trip to her pediatrician.

I definitely don't remember our baby girl sleeping this much.

Month #1 -

This was Natalie's fourth pair of pjs in about 10 minutes, after she peed, pooped and spit up on the first three sets we finally got her all cleaned up.

At her one month appointment, on 8/30/07, she weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz and was 21 inches.

Month #2 -

Mommy finally feels up to getting her picture taken.

At her two month appointment, on 10/1/07, she weighed 10 lbs. 15 oz. and was 22 1/2 inches.

Month #3 -

Natalie's first Halloween, I had just had my gallbladder out but tried my best to get some good pictures! This is the cutest banana that I ever did see!

Month #4 -

Daddy just loves to get his picture taken, but Miss Natalie spent many nights sleeping right in this position!
I just loved this pair of jammies, even if Grandma Spurgeon though it made Natalie look like a boy!
I almost forgot how precious she was!

This is the day that we took Natalie to get her ears pierced. Some of Natalie's funny faces.
On 12/10/07 we had her 4 month appointment she weighed 13 lbs. 14 oz and was 24 inches.

Month #5 -

Natalie's first taste of cereal on 12/16/07.

This was from our "photo shoot" for your first Christmas card picture, this is the one I liked the most. Here is Natalie and her cousin Kody asleep on Grandma Spurgeon's couch, they were both pouting cause Madison and I went on a little trip without them.
Here's our poor little girl that got her first tooth, first ear infection and pink eye for Christmas. It was so sad!

Since she had been such a good little girl all year long, ok for the five months since birth, Santa brought her some diamond earrings!

Whewww that was only five months and that's a wrap for this post. Months six - seventeen coming soon...
